Good Morning WOW's,You all missed gorgeous weather and some fun golf yesterday. Five of us braved the sunny skies and warm breezes to play, not Pick-up Sticks, but just regular old match play. Coincidentally and fortuitously this Saturday's A team (Saturday Match Play)-Kathy Hwang and Joanna Webb and the D team -Deb McGrath and me were there. And Mimi Scott. We decided to make it real match play and got our handicaps from Josh and fixed the cards semi appropriately (I got goofed up on the back nine and used the men's handicap holes for Kathy's pops...oops). So Team Hwang and Webb v Team McGrath and Ruthnick. Plus both teams verses team Mimi. All went swimmingly well. Team H and W were tied with Team McG and R at the end of 9. Mimi spent most of the front nine teeing off last... not her best front. She did finally have honors on hole 9 and improved her round until hole 13. Long drive but out to the right. Found the ball next to the red hazard marker and it looked playable. Eek - we all heard her club hit a rock from across the fairway. She finished the hole, but ow, her wrist hurt and owww her 6 iron was really dented. She bagged it to go home to ice her wrist. Good decision. Rest of the news is that I made a par on hole 10 (I think the first time ever)*, on in three and made the 8 footer and the D Team McGrath and Ruthnick won the match 4 and 3. Yippee! and Woowoo!
