Howdy, howdy howdy WOW's,
Well that was a fun afternoon. Hot, but fun. Chapman Scotch is a great format and my partner Karl and I had a goal of not being in last place (always my goal) and beating our playing partners, my husband Chris and Karl's wife Pam. We were on a roll and ahead by three when we got to our second to last hole; hole #1. Can I just say I had to use my miracle putt to save a 10 and we lost to Chris and Pam by one stroke. But, yay, our final score of 67 ended us up in the middle of the pack.
As usual, you generous women of Winchester came through and we raised about $23,000 for our three charities; Placer SPCA, Acres of Hope and the Taylor House. I should have a final accounting by Sunday from Gill and will include it then. Oh yeah, and the golf winners were Anne Bianchi and Ed Meyer with a score of 56.
So a huge thanks to our hardworking BOWWOW chair, Gill Brown. And thank you Matt*, Josh and Craig for always helping to make our events work.
Trish,Queen of the Wowgirls
*Matt got to work as a marker as we ended up with an uneven number of teams. I know he thanks Kathy K. and her partner Jeff S. for keeping him entertained throughout their round.
