Good Morning Winchester,
What a beautiful day we had to test the new game "Whack and Hack". Most of you hackers thought it was fun, some thought fun but needed modifications. We will see. One group DQed themselves when B.S. got into major trouble on hole #10 (apparently the ball pinballed around rocks, trees and lots of other obstacles... so not thinking about the rules of the game- the high score and low score of the three balls played, the ball was picked up and she Xed out of the hole. Lightbulbs came on on hole #11 when they all realized that they had needed B.S.'s score on 10 to stay in the game. Big Oops! They (Team GB, BS and LS) did say they liked the game in spite of the tribulations encountered.
Josh was out sick yesterday and is still not back so these results are all on me. But lucky me, there were NO BIRDIES* (what the heck??) so this is pretty easy. Of the three teams that finished there was a tie** for first place and second place was only one!!!! stroke behind (sorry Team A, H, and W, the WTF hole did you in). Since I'm queen for the day this is how the sweeps will be paid out:
1st $8 each Team Bianchi, Decker and Ramirez 162 Team Hwang, Ozuna-Richards and Ruthnick 162 2nd Team Anderson, Hallisy and Weiser 163DQ Team Brown, Saxby and Smith
Closest to the Pin $5 each:#7 Denise Hallisey 8' 31/2"#11 Kathy Hwang 12' 1"
That's it for now. Winners pick up your loot at the General meeting. Denim and Diamonds in two weeks.Trisha,Not the queen of three putts*** this week. Oh, yay!
*One - birdies would have made a big difference in the scores. And two, it would have been more complicated to figure out the sweeps, as it turned out $50 / 6 = $8 ** No back nine card-off, cuz I didn't want to.... Queen, remember.*** Title gladly relinquished to one of my team mates who shall remain unnamed.
Don't forget the Fall General Meeting has been moved (pre-empted) to TUESDAY September 17. If you cannot attend, please reply to this email with your filled in proxy
