Hey Winchesterians,
Thank you, Elsa, for our version of the Solheim Cup - the WinHeim Cup which we played yesterday. Two teams; the Green Team lead by Nancy Decker and the White Team captained by Robbin Weiser played three matches to a very close score at the finish (good job Josh on the blind draw and nicely done by Captains Decker and Weiser on the pairings). We played Fouesomes (aka Alternate Shot) on the front nine and FourBall (aka Best or Better Ball) on the back. A thank you also to, Leslie W., for signing on at the last minute to fill out the field. Plus, welcome to new member Robin Jeffery. And nice to see Mary G. out smacking the ball with us. It's been a while.
Team Green was victorious with 28.5 points to Team White's 25.5 and we came home with $17 each.... Yay, I've got money for three more Thursdays. Only one birdie, by my partner, Mindy, on hole #11 for $5 plus she was closest to the pin on that hole so was the big money winner of the day taking home $27. Woohoo Partner!
